Some time ago I posted this question

"Christians and others of faith,Do you avoid answering difficult questions here and in life ?"

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ah.OVSn98uMSlz7yUBHSVwbsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20091201183213AAUb2nQ

I got a heap of answers saying they were willing and able to answer the tough questions, yet when I asked about Giants in the bible breeding with women :

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsveUEU4TCvDSmecGo0aJTQazKIX;_ylv=3?qid=20091203193424AAvKqHy

I got 4 vague answers including one that told me dinosaurs had cross bred with human females !!!

Really why do Christians avoid answering the tough answers about their bible ?

1. Not everyone who posts on here is an absolute master of the Bible, in fact none of us are. Just as no scientist claims to know everything about physics, none of us should claim to know everything about the Word of God. If you were seriously that interested in answers to your tough questions, you wouldn't be posting them on Yahoo! Answers, instead you'd be asking experts.

2. The Bible isn't always perfectly clear on everything, leading to speculation. If you insist on asking questions that you know force conjecture and guesswork on the parts of believers, you should not act surprised when you get strange answers.

3. At least you can spell (or at least aren't afraid of the spell checker), most trolls can't be bothered.

Go ahead and ask ME your tough questions. I bet I can outdo you by a large margin.

And by the way, it's in Genesis, only it was angels (supposedly) that had sex with human women who PRODUCED giants. So why not brush up a bit on your facts?

Not answering questions to your satisfaction is lying? I wasn't aware of that...

As for the giants, there are some artifacts that can only be used by people of great size and strength. There are also skeletons that have been found of people who were huge. If you want the evidence, the best I know of right now is:

http://www.drdino.com/media-categories.php

There it goes into detail about giants, the fossils, artifacts, skeletons, the whole nine yards.

There are even some giant people today. I have seen one personally. My dad's friend was working on his full-sized truck. He made the truck look like a mini. His son was also quite big, too.

Do you pick and choose which science to believe or do believe all science is true? I believe the Bible if you don't then that is okay, we all have to make our choice.

I don't know you and that is not a lie.

If I did see your question, I jsut didn't answer it. There is not a cosmic or logical explanation why I just didn't answer. Didn't know that answering your question meant so much to the cosmos.

because they can't answer without contradicting themselves or their precious book

there are GIANTS in the BIBLE?!?!?! woah!!! i gotta read THAT? it's like harry potter all over again.

Believe it or not, we don't have all the answers because we don't know everything, so we answer to the best of our ability. If we think that no answer would be satisfactory or that we don't have enough information to answer it, then we don't.

Stop big mouthing yourself and the discourse you say your with...

If I asked what is evolution to the athiests here....which I have...I would get the uber-vague answers and attacking answers....consider yourself lucky...

And also...look at my dp...look how old I am...if you haven't guessed mid-teenager...look at your dp...your half bald...yet your as big of a b'tch as girls I know...geez

I thought Joel V gave you a good answer and never dodged a thing did, you read his answer? He was on the second link you gave.

And just like you can't answer where the first cell came from some things are not yet answerable.

If you ask the right person, I'm sure you'll get a detailed answer. We don't know every little detail about the Bible, and it takes years and years of study to be able to answer most questions like that. Just because your average guy doesn't specifically know the answer to these questions, it doesn't mean they're not true. It's a lot easier to ask hard questions than to answer them.
