Do i have to have good grades to get into a fashion school?

i want to be a fashion buyer, and im looking at school like the art institute and many others. do I have to have good grades to get into this achool?
 
I know that most art institutions require an art portfolio of all of your artworks. Good grades will ALWAYS help you, anywhere you go. So, just because you want to get into fashion, doesn't mean you should abandon your other subjects and focus only on fashion. Try to get your grades as high as possible and have a back up.

That field is ALWAYS competitive, a lot of people enjoy fashion. Its always about who stands out the most.
