Do I still need to register my UDID in order to update to iOS 7 beta?

As i searched the internet, many says that you should register your UDID in order to update iOS 6.1.3 to 7. But there are some youtube videos which demonstrate how to update without a dev account or registering UDID. Now, I have doubts about registering my UDID and to all thoise sites that offer the services. Are they legit? Or just a scam? Can anyone please explain. Thanks a lot in advance.
