Do Liberal politics eventually suck out all the humor of Comedians who get drawn in?

Why does that always happen? I just hope Ellen doesn't get there- She is too funny!
Rosie ODonnell use to be just as funny as Ellen way way way back, then liberals got ahold of her, and now she is a bitter, depressing bore!

Yes, that is precisely what happens. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are always going to be considered funny by 20-somethings as long as they still keep smoking their pot, but just about anything could be considered funny by these types under such circumstances.

Look at how quickly "The Wanda Sykes Show" got canceled by the Fox Network this year. That so-called comic Wanda Sykes just would not let up with all the liberal talking points about health care throughout all of 2009.

Actually, I was disappointed to see Wanda's show get yanked when it did, since I was looking forward to seeing how Wanda was going to struggle making jokes about just how thoroughly and totally the Obama agenda got rejected by the American people when the Democrats all got their clocks cleaned during the November 2010 elections. Maybe even Wanda herself breathed a sigh of relief when the Fox Network itself replaced her unfunny show with repeat episodes of "Fringe" immediately after the November 2010 elections.

by tradtitional definition Liberalism would allow all comedy.
the correct term would be facist or dictator.

neither democrats or repubs would allow comedians to say anything evil against government.
as it is there is a law in the books that make it a crime to speak hate or to speak against Fed Agent. they also make it a crime in canada to quote certain bible verses. people have been arrested.

so much for LIberalism and freedom of religion
in the 70's the government censored the smothers brothers for speaking in a politically dissident voice, yet the smothers brothers would always have the appearance of liberals.

Jon Stewart = liberal = hilarious!!!

I have never seen a funny conservative comic.

Real humor, by the way, is apolitical.

See: George Carlin

So, as I understand it from your question, when comics start making fun of the hilarious conservative thought process (or lack thereof) and knee slapping philosophy, they somehow become what you define as liberal and therefore not funny.

What does it say when someone stops laughing after someone holds up a mirror so they can see themselves?
