do sony car audio products really suck?

i remember som sony head units had an annoying beep every time u changed tracks.. me personally i think they should have just stuck to home audio and video.. if want sony because its affordable.. look around theres other stuff thats better for around the same price.

Sony is not really that bad, but they are over priced. You can get better quality from Kenwood, Alpine, Eclipse for the same price.

I have had the same Xplode deck in my car for over 5 years now, and it still works great. If you want competition class audio products you will pay alot more. If you just want a decent stereo Sony is ok.

just like all audio products. it's a matter of personal taste. you wouldn't want to buy a stereo just because someone else likes how it sounds, just like you wouldn't want to not buy a stereo cuz somebody else doesn't like how it sounds.
I know many people including myself who don't enjoy the sound of sony's car audio products over the last few years, but that should have nothing to do about whether you like it. just personal preference
