Do the ground beef nutrition labels show cooked or uncooked information?

Apparently there is a huge difference in the number of calories noted on the labels of e.g. 80/20 and 96/4 ground beef. But if you cook the 80/20 ground beef and drain away the grease (or at least as much as possible), shouldn't the amount of calories go down? If calorie content noted on the label is cooked, I am never buying 80/20 again, even if 96/4 is more expensive.

Uncooked. They have no way of knowing what will remain after cooking.

it should say cooked or uncooked on the label

if not, it really depends HOW its cooked
grilling would be better than browning in a skillet, as more fat would drip away, etc

if you have 96/4 ground beef, just be warned, it would make a VERY dry, and likely less flavorful burger, as the fat is what gives bugers the taste and moisture.
