do u need a 3d hdmi cable for a 3d tv to a 3d blueray player or can you just use a normal hdmi cable?

You don't NEED it, but you would lose a lot of the effect that you've paid extra for. There's standard HDMI, and high-speed HDMI (1.4) for 3D, 4K, Deep Color, etc.
