Personally, I can let it go right that Paris Hilton got famous by way of a sex tape and because her family is highly affluent. On the other hand, I believe that this has gone too far with stupid women getting fame for doing NOTHING. I ask myself where have the really talented gone? Sure we love our celebs, but sometimes I just hate these girls that refuse to study and take up stripping as a profession and then expect prince charming to come and rescue them.

I without trying to sound conceited, consider myself attractive, but do not use that as a tool to get what I want. I'd rather read books and study so that I can pay my bills that way, but does anybody really care or appreciate that? No, I think not, people would rather see a half naked girl with fake blonde hair filming a sex tape and uploading it online, right? Because that's what sells, no?

I don't understand why people idolize others for basically nothing. Unfortunately, everything is about looks today...especially among teens, which is a huge problem...that's why we have so many kids struggling with anorexia or other disorders.

The reason why some girls choose stripping is money, not because they expect their prince charming coming. In some cases, strippers earn much more than people holding a white-collar job.

I hate to say this but as I can see not too many people appreciate hard work and study today. When somehow it comes up that I can speak multiple languages and I'm in grad school at 22 (I don't talk about it but when people ask what I do, I can't lie), people think I just wanna brag or they say everybody has a degree today (it's not a big deal to them).

I think you are mixing up the consequence and its cause. The cause of sex tapes selling is not the fact that they are selling, it is because people are interested in that...if you take a look at TV shows, tell me how many intellectuals you can see on reality TV, for instance...none. Why? Because our lives are considered boring by the majority of the viewers since it is pretty similar to theirs. Boring, dull, full of work, not fun, it's not about partying. People wanna see people who have an exceptionally unique life (according to their standards). These are usually the extremely rich people doing nothing because when people look at them, they dream of living their lives, which is dumb but this is what happens. Most people wanna be a millionaire but as they can't, they have to live through the lives of other people, celebrities.

Absolutely! It really sickens me how people can be mesmerized just by someone they see on television.
No wonder young girls today want to be 80lbs and a size 00. Society has put in our young womens mind to look a certain way. They have to have the boobs of a certain celebrity so they go get implants. They want to be thin like the anorexic super model they saw walking down the runway, so they make themselves puke.
Don't get me started with Paris Hilton. Who is she anyway? LOL
A woman is not defined by what shoes she wore or who she had sex with on tape that somehow got 'leaked' to the press. Do you honestly think that celebrities make sex tapes and assume they are in the right hands? COME ON! If they see the opportunity to make more money they will do it.
I am a single mother of 3 and have no problems with getting a man and I don't need to make a tape to do it or flaunt money in my hands.
One thing that truly bothers me is celebrities are so ridiculously overpaid. Yet we can send a boy right out of high school, send him to Iraq, put an M16 in his hands and tell him to fight a ridiculous war. Yet they make chump change for doing so. Risking their lives for us. Have you noticed that they only get acknowledged of their heroic efforts if they DIED? How often do you hear about our soldiers as compared to what gown was worn by so and so at the Golden Globes?
Excuse me. I think I have to throw up.

I appreciate the way you choose to live your life. Only the lucky and priviledged few can live like that, and t.v.'s depiction of Paris Hilton type behaviour makes me sick. Live life on your own terms. Good luck to you sister!
