No, this isn't strange. Not the way that I grew up. It's his house, he has every right to be comfortable. Plus it's not like you're formally meeting him for the first time. There's no reason to be offended, he just prefers not to wear a shirt. His house, his rules. Who cares?

It's hard to say. Guys can go without shirts in public, so I would think it's okay to go without a shirt in their own home. But... you shouldn't do anything to make your guests uncomfortable, and it should be common sense to these guys that some women don't want to see their hairy nipples...

My thought is that he probably doesn't think about it.

My family and I stayed with a friend from college and he ran around without a shirt. It was a little weird, but I didn't take it as a sign of disrespect. After all, he was putting us up. But I can't say about the guy in question here.

What if a woman answers in a bikini or skimpy exercise clothes? Also a little too "comfortable", to me...

I answer the door in my underwear. They are like shorts, but OFFICIALLY they are underwear. I always have a t-shirt on when I do. I never seen anything wrong with it too be honest. I compare my underwear to shorts. I don't wear those skimpy underwear though.

Like I said, I never thought anything about it until I seen your question. That made me realize how I was answering my door. I've had conversations on my front porch and never thought anything about it. Maybe he isn't paying attention to detail. Maybe I wasn't either, and maybe I should.

Can you tell us, does he have a nice body? Maybe he is trying to show it off. Some people are just like that, they don't care. If it really bothers you, tell her to meet you somewhere else or at your house. Remember its house, he can do what he pleases, sorry.

I do agree with you though, My daugher and I went to a friends house too and he did not have a shirt on, it really grossed us out!!!!!

LOL! yea it's different...i'll give you that. he's obviously just comfortable with himself. you are in his house tho so u can't really say much...just endure or don't go back. OR take your shirt off and walk around acting like nothings wrong hahaahahha
