I'm not atheist but I don't think that god would be all that good really. I think people want to believe that there's a good god to give us something to look forward to. I think it's man's deepest desire to want to be good. But the truth is if there is a god he can't be all good because of all the terrible things that he allows in the world. Sure his intentions are good to build a world where all can live in and live life but I don't think he would be a power or anything like that. I think that he would just be a mere creator and very well have his own kind of people much like a scientist. He could even be another human himself. We don't have technology on this planet to create humans but somewhere else in the universe or another universes could very well have technology to create humans that we've never seen. And he probably doesn't want to come near us because he lives too far away to get here. Anything living couldn't possibly survive space travel of that distance. But maybe he looks down on us in another way. Maybe he doesn't want to intrude on our lives because he doesn't want to interfere with natures course. I don't know but I get all these funny ideas of what he could be but the fact I believe we're not the only lives living out there rules out atheism for me. If there's other life out there has to be a creator. And there's alot more sin in the world then there is good things happening. But our inner strive for a perfect world was probably the same for him that's why he may have created the world the way it is. But in an atheists eyes this is all horribly wrong. But there's no way whatever did create us is actually good. Even mother nature itself can be considered evil in a way.
