im taking my road test to get my license on monday. i was wondering if the car you bring to take the test in, has to have that center hand brake? i hope it doesnt. that would suck. i live in NJ but i dont think that matters. thanks
this is so the person testing you has a way to stop the car. i know when you go for your 6 hours you haveto have that center brake, but is it the same for the road test?

No. But it must have ALL the original safety equipment. Some cars have parking brakes (ebrakes) on the floor. So it has to have it in the center console or the floor.

Good Luck...
