Do you need to stealth patch and hack your DVD drive to play burnt xbox360

games on your 360? I just wanted to know, do you have to mod your DVD drive on your 360 to play downloaded and burnt xbox 360 games? And do you have to stealth patch them; I'm not planning on playing them on live by the way. Thanks.
