do you think a 600cc sport bike (gixxer, r1...) is too much for a 16 yr old?

so im not a complete noob at bikes. im almost 17 ive ridden a 125 dirt bike for about four years, so i know the "basic controls." ive also driven a 600 and a 1000 before and had no trouble with those. but what do you think about getting one of my own?

any opinions are welcome
 
1... An R1 is a litre bike, not a 600cc...

#2... YES, it's WAY TOO MUCH for a 16 year-old.

Think about it this way.. even assuming a 200lb rider, a GSXR puts out 1 horsepower for every 5lbs... the fastest production car in the world puts out 1 horsepower for every 4.4lbs. No one would dream of sticking a 16 year-old behind the wheel of a Bugatti...

You dont start out with a race replica bike, which is what modern 600cc rides are.
