...flavored tobacco illegal? First, Obama makes flavored tobacco illegal because he thinks its bad for you to smoke.

Then, he makes marijuana available for medical use. I thought he just signed a bill to make flavored cigarettes illegal, now we can do drugs so we don't "freak out, maaaan"?

So, what your saying is, its better to use pot as a medication than sticking to your morals and finding an alternative?
I'm still pretty sure weed isn't the only solution. We have pills that can do the same thing (if not, we CAN make them) with less side effects (like no lung cancer, for starters)
so saying "smoking's bad" then making weed into a medicine doesn't contradict anything? What if it was "we're only selling American cars in America, but all the profit goes to Asia"? It defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

It's better to use pot as a medication if pot is found to treat the illness you have.
Morphine is also very addicting, but if you got a leg torn off in a car accident, you wouldn't be thinking about your 'morals' you'd be thinking about HOW MUCH YOUR LEG HURTS.

Flavored tobacco targets the young. Some of my friends recently introduced me to tobacco that you smoke using a hookah. They all seem convinced that it's not as bad for you as cigarettes even though it's 10x as carcinogenic. If you dress tobacco up as anything other as cigarettes it's only to try to convince people that cigars/hookah/chew is less addictive/harmful/carcinogenic as cigarettes.

And all the people baaaaawwing over how they can no longer smoke their flavored cigarettes, and how normal tobacco is gross- welcome to the now. Chew some gum.

i'm freaking out because i can't get a medical marijuana card or grower's permit.

maybe smoking weed is the alternative for many people, even moralistic people. however, most people that profess to have good morals and make a show of sticking to them are ********.

just sayin.....

No, because flavored cigarettes HAVE no medical use. They are two completely different things, and there's not hypocrisy involved (and, I have to wonder by your question if you KNOW what "hypocrite" means?)

No.

Medical marijuana is not about "morals," it's about easing pain, increasing appetite in those who are wasting away, and myriad other palliative treatments for disease.

He didn't make medical marijuana legal. It is still illegal by federal law. He is just saying that the feds should stop busting distribution centers and growers in states where it is legal under state law.

most of the people ive known with medical marijuana cards do not need them for medical purposes.

im just sayin'.
