...a relationship? needs to be recreated to create public awareness ?

Its good to create public awareness about teens being abused in relationships...but i think the point would have been made as strongly without having to recreate a real life incident...

London, March 21 (IANS) The alleged argument between singer Rihanna and her boyfriend Chris Brown has been recreated for a public service film.

US teen empowering group DoSomething.org used the police reports on the incident to create a video aimed at helping victims of teen dating abuse, reports thesun.co.uk.

It begins with a warning about graphic images before showing a teen couple in a car acting out what's described in police notes, while a narrator reads from the actual Los Angeles Police Department affidavit based on Rihanna's description of the alleged attack.

'Mad?...Do Something about it,' the clip concludes, noting that one in three teens are abused in a relationship.

Women have worked so hard to get where we are today, and still have many more obstacles to overcome.

Why should domestic violence be condoned?
It shouldn't.
That's why there's shelters for battered women to turn to.
That's why abusers are put behind bars for abusing.

Why Rhianna went back to a person that beat the crap out of her AND bit her is beyond me.
No one deserves that nor should tolerate it.

On average, women will go back to their abusers 5 times before they finally leave, or are killed by their abuser.
