...ability to remember things? We're so used to being able to pull up tons of information with a couple of clicks
 
By the questions on Yahoo, it seems that most are too lazy to look up things on the internet. They expect others to do it for them.
 
I think it helps our memory, because now we can actually go look up something easily that we've forgotten - before, we'd just say "oh I forgot," and that would be the end of the discussion. Or, you'd have to wait to find the dictionary/encyclopedia, or go to the library. Having the resource at your fingertips gives you the chance to review things instantly, while they are relevant, and ideally that reinforces the information you retain.
