Do you think that personal trainers can be pushy sales people?

I went to a gym earlier, and had a personal trainer try and get me signed up after I went in for a month membership pass that I had been given online. Now, I already knew I would be bombarted with someone trying to get me signed up for a full membership, but I wanted to use my membership for the month and see if I really like the gym and wanted to be out that money each month. First, the lady started basically badgering me to not even use my month membership and to sign a month to month membership right there and then. Then, she commented that she could help me lose up to 20 pounds in 6-88 weeks since I "wasn't active", and I told her that I had been active for a long time, but due to some medical conditions, I have not lost weight from it. Then, she makes some comments about me being dressed "like I THOUGHT I was going to be working out", in a very snide manner. (That is why I came to redeem my workout pass, and I would have probably joined except she pissed me off.) Has anyone else had this kind of experience with a pushy personal trainer, or is this place just outside the norm on presumptive butt-hole trainers?
