Does anyone else think "The Last House on the Left" was completey terrible?

I went and saw this with my boyfriend yesterday and I couldn't watch most of it. I mean, very brutal murders, rape and other sexual assault, heads exploding in microwaves? It was terrifying, and it scared me really badly. I don't think it should have even been made. That movie could have emotionally scarred me...
 
Many movie experts and those who review it also think its really bad. i thought about going to see it but everyone seems to say its pretty gross so i dont think i'll be seeing it :)
