Does anyone else think the muhammad joke on South Park got a little stale?

Okay I get it, bleep the name and censor the figure. I thought the episode (I'm counting both parts as one) was okay, but the muhammad stuff just got so stale it started to really turn me off. The only parts I really enjoyed were the cartman bits. It just, in my opinion, got real old real fast.
And I think comedy central killed the cartoon wars episode by censoring out muhammad at the end. I get they were trying to be funny, but I loved the episode the way it was.
The episode in question is 200 and 201 just in case anyone was wondering.

I would agree! It was a little ridiculous! Personally I am a fan of Family Guy too so I did not care for the episode very much. I would also agree that the parts with Cartman were awesome. The appearance of Bart Simpson was pretty awesome too! so i guess i did like the episode. lol

I thought the running muhammad joke was a witty and poignant statement about the importance of free speech and the biased portrayal of religion in our society. I am not sure if you are aware but Comedy Central does not create the south park episodes but they do own the rights to the show so they can censor whatever they like. So I am not sure why you think you "get they were trying to be funny." They were not trying to be funny. They have censored episode "201" and retroactively censored previously episodes featuring muhammad because they were worried about death threats and they did not censor for comedic effect. Did you not understand the point they were trying to convey? They portrayed Jesus as an internet porn addict and the Buddha as a coke head. And how did they portray Muhammad? Well that was the joke wasn't it. They couldn't even portray him in either a positive or negative way. Why can we we mock Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, but not Islam? Because Islamist sociopaths make death threats for showing or mocking Muhammad. I think the creators of South Park are making a satirical statement of the way that Islam gets deferential treatment in Western society and media, which supposedly values free speech and freedom of expression. And furthermore, I believe they are mocking those Islamist fundamentalists who are hypocrites which have no problem mocking Jewish or Christian historical figures (prophets), but will kill you if you mock their prophet. But perhaps you prefer the more low brow comedy which is often funny but you don't have to have any knowledge of current events to understand it.
