Does anyone think the book Life as We Knew It would make a good film?

Right, I read the trilogy by Susan Pfeiffer and I really enjoyed it. I was wandering does anyone else who read it think it would be awesome as a film. I only say this because the story is from a teenage girls point of view and I haven't seen something like that before, also it practically contains every disaster ever-volcanoes, flooding, snow storms, famine etc. So does anyone else think it would make a good screen play :/ :D

PS I am refferring to the first in the trilogy 'Life as we knew it' as I think it contained most of the drama, if anyone else has any thoughts of 'The Dead an dthe Gone' and 'The World we live in' please share :)
 
I think it would make a good movie, but theyd have to add a lot of stuff to it. Make the scenes a bit longer, you know?
