Does it make sense to turn on the vent fan above the oven to keep heat out of...

...the house during the summer? I turn on the vent fan when I'm baking in the summer to suck up hot air that supposedly rises, right? Is that a practical thing to do or am I just being an idiot?

Makes perfect sense to me. Wish mine was vented to the outside... it just goes up and thru the microwave, back into the kitchen. :-(
