Does it make you laugh when people assume things?

I live in a small town where that little group exercise where people set in a circle and pass on a piece of information plays out regularly. Don't know the details or do you want to seem important? Just fill in the blanks! It sure does make life more interesting.
I have tried to impress upon my children that "I don't know" is a legitimate answer. I also step on their rumor mongering as soon as I can. My 12 year old stepdaughter just can't seem to leave well enough alone... it appears to be typical for her age and sex. She's intelligent and generally decent... I'm hoping she outgrows this crap.
Assumptions... they can be funny as hell. Especially when you get to rip 'em apart. So I guess I hope for them to give me opportunities to laugh. People say the dumbest things.

..... some times I give them a false clue to mislead them on purpose!!! Haaaaaaaaaa

Assuming is amusing! lol

*evil grin*

Sometimes...depends on the situation.

I'm always quick to assume and am usually all wrong in my ASSumptions.

Many people assume my 8 year old daughter is my granddaughter. I delight in saying, "Oh no! She's not my granddaughter she's Momma's little midlife crisis." Shuts them right up and makes me laugh.

a little of both......it's amazing what people can read into things they know nothing about
