existed? If so, where was the ox? If Dr. Carlos Castaneda just made it all up, that would make him one of the top ten geniuses of the 20th Century- which was obviously not the case. He was somewhat of a nitwit.
If The Gospel of Jesus Christ were fabricated, as many try to say, the fabricator must have been an uncharted genius, who refused to be credited, did just the one work, and then vanished without a trace.
There is a theory that WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE never existed. This is a serious academic contention. So who actually wrote Wiliam Shakespeare's plays and sonnets? The theory I heard says it was probably Sir Francis Bacon.
Thar is not an irrational idea.
He had the means, the opportunity, and credible motive for producing politically and morally loaded works of genius, with plausible deniability.
But as for the DON JUAN MATUS and GOSPEL of JESUS stories- who could create at THOSE levels, and not proudly claim the credit?
