back then it was east rookies vs west rookies, so did the rookie MVP/rookie of the year award ONLY go to one of the rookies from the WINNING rookie team, or doesn't it matter. since iverson only had 19 points, and Kobe had (a new record back then) 31 points, Iverson still got the MVP
