Does one's college GPA matter to future employers?

My question is how important is GPA viewed to future employers? For example, I am a junior at a high ranking state school and my GPA right now is about a 2.3, I wanted to know how this affected my chances of finding work out of school (I am looking to get into the Information Technology field). Does it matter what my grades are?
 
Your grades should matter for getting a job. Your grades only matter if you want to expand your education and go to a grad school. As long as you have other activities to make up for your GPA, then you will be fine.
