Does playing games on the iPad do anything to the battery in long term?

Iknow that it decreases it at the moment, but that can always be charged. Will it ever decrease the total battery life for the actual iPad?
 
It shouldn't. The only thing i can think of that would ruin it is over charging. Some people charge it for waaay too long. You shouldn't worry about overcharging too much though
