I've been installing car stereos for a while now, but I recently installed a JVC aftermarket stereo on a 2000 Ford Explorer and the speedometer stopped working. Would installing an aftermarket stereo have anything to do with this? This is the first time I run into a problem like this and any help will be greatly apreciated.

I'm not sure if it can or not, but my friend recently got a new stereo put in her car too. All of her gages stopped working after, with no other reasonable explanation. They said it could have had something to do with a wire or cord getting moved wrong when the stereo was installed...Sorry I'm not much help, but I hope you find out some more about this problem, we'd like to know what's wrong with her car too. Haha.
