Does sony dvd player upscales audio?

I will be buying the sony home theatre system. Accurately the dav-tz210. My question is that if i will play a 2 channel audio via cd then can the dvd player output surround sound or even the music in all the 5 speakers. Technically, Can the dvd player in the (or any dvd player) dav-tz210 upscale 2 channel audio into 6 channel audio?? Please answer.
