signing Defense of Marriage Act which defines marriage as a legal union exclusively between one man and one woman
huge steps forward? how so? creating and signing a bill that says marriage is only between a man and a woman is a huge step forward for gay? I dont see it
 
No, Considering its been 17 years ago, DADT was considered monumental at the time for gays and lesbians.
