Does the ipod function of an iphone still work overseas?

if i get an iphone and like when i go over seas i know i wont be able to use the phone feature but could i still use the ipod part of it even if the phone part of it doesnt work. like lets say could i use the apps and other features of the phone over seas or does it just lock up and die so i cant use it over there?
 
the phone and everything will work over sea's the only problem is you will have to pay very high rates for minutes and data, the best option is to put the phone on airplane mode while you are over seas. but in doing so you will still be able to use the ipod function and all apps that do not require data. I just got back from Germany and this was my experience, hope this helps
 
Yes, the only thing that effects the phone is bandwidth, towers, satellite, ect having to do with service providers.

BUT the iPod function will work no prob along with other programs not needing your phone provider internet.
