Does the Lord ever count it against a Christian when they backslid?

Backsliding is the same thing as sinning. God will always forgive if we ask Him with a contrite (sincere) heart. If we intentionally "backslide," knowing that we are sinning, then no, God will not forgive.

Every sin is recorded unless you ask for forgiveness for that sin, "if you ask for forgiviness, God will throw the sin in the Dead Sea and never speak of it again." in other words you cannot be charged with a sin.

You can backslide 7*70*77 or something like that.

I am forgiven...once and for all.

When I ask God to forgive my backsliding He always answers the same,

"What sins are you talking about, I can not remember them anymore."

For when Jesus conquered death and then sprinkled the Holy Blood on the Heavenly altar...He paid my sin debt for once and for all time.

However, God will hold back blessings to backsliding Christians. As long as we repent and return to Christ, we are restored back into fellowship.

Jesus said all sins are forgiven of men, except blaspheming the Holy Spirit, which is unforgiven in this world and the world to come
