Does this sound like an interesting werewolf topic?

One night, a teenage girl is attacked by a “maniac in a wolf costume.” When she gets home she finds that a group of government agents are waiting for her there with her family. They explain that the “maniac” is actually a werewolf, and that since he bit her she’s been turned into one. The agents want to take her to a special “summer program” where she can learn to control her new abilities.

I love werewolves, so i thought of this when i was up late last night. still arguing with myself about her personality, name, and what color her hair will be. At the summer camp she will make a lot of new friends and her old friends will be jealous. thinking of making it a romance but who knows!
i forgot to add that the agents knew what would happen to her. they choose certain people to become a werewolf. something about there birth day or special blood type...

Yeah it's an ok idea if you can pull it off. I'd change it to her thinking it's a "maniac in a bear costume", it's a more plausable costume to think of in the heat of the moment. Or she could think it's a stray dog. A wolf costume is a bit too random.

So...if the agents were waiting for her when she got home, they probably knew that she was going to get bitten in the first place. Which implies that either they're omniscient, or they arranged for the werewolf to be there and deliberately infected her with lycanthropy.

You seem to be young. That's not a bad thing - it means you have a long time in which you can get it right. Take your time, learn what the mistakes are (especially what a Mary Sue is) and you can make something good.
