Downgrade my iPhone 3GS from version 4.1 to 3.1.3?

I want to jailbreak my iPhone from the website jailbreakme.com but when I try to slide the lock it won't let me. It says my version is too new ... So I need to downgrade my iPhone to 3.1.3 version. Please tell me how I can do this because I've been all over the Internet and I just can't find out how to downgrade to that version. Thanks. If it helps I have an iPhone 3gs. and could you go easy on me with the explanation because I have no idea what I'm doing and tell me every little thing I have to do. Thx
 
dont use that website. Google redsn0w and use that. Or Limera1n. those will jailbreak even the newest. (4.1 through 4.2.3)
