DSi Troubles with Wi-Fi?

I recently obtained a Nintendo DSi, and realized that while on the main system, I can browse and all that good stuff, but on games such as DragonQuest IX, I cannot connect to Wi-Fi

Here are my two questions:

1- Do the N-DS games have the same Wi-Fi compatability as the DS Lite?

2- Is it possible to transfer my DSi Wi-Fi connection settings ( that are under the advanced connection settings) to my games?

Answer to the first question: I have no idea, I don't play the DSi.
Answer to the second question: Yes, it is. I used to play DS lite, and it worked on that.
