Yes they are:') i need the dvd COVER analysis please, thankyou!

I have yet to see the DVDs of either movie. Are they the same as the posters, by any chance? Sometimes the movie posters are different from the DVD jackets/covers.
Take a look here:

The first one, Letters to Juliet, depicts the leading star of the movie, i.e., an attractive, blonde, green-eyed actress that is well known in the film industry. She is centrally located on the cover, as well as title, the over-sized envelope, and movie's tagline: "What if you had a second chance to find true love?" The viewer is immediately drawn to these four crucial and enticing elements of the film. The viewer is prompted to ask themselves: "What is the significance of the letter being licked? Does this movie have anything to do with the classic romance of Romeo and Juliet?" The over-all color of the poster is another enticement to view this movie, and that is one of a bright but soft, golden yellow. I think it implies a romance of two people in their golden years and...sure enough, if you look closer, you see the older couple in a loving embrace. The background indicates that they are in an Old World, Italian setting. The font, however, is a simple block lettering or Arial font -- I think that's what it's called, not sure.

As for Insidious, there ARE different covers or posters, such as this one: http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%3Fei%3DUTF-8%26p%3Dinsidious%2Bposters%2Band%2Bphotos&w=118&h=160&imgurl=www.bing.com%2Fimages%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dinsidious%2Bposters%2Band%2Bphotos%23focal%3D0fcad7f47d9e10bf806d1669273f1afc%26furl%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252fwww.aceshowbiz.com%252fimages%252fstill%252finsidious_poster03.jpg&size=&name=search&rcurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bing.com%2Fimages%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dinsidious%2Bposters%2Band%2Bphotos%23focal%3D0fcad7f47d9e10bf806d1669273f1afc%26furl%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252fwww.aceshowbiz.com%252fimages%252fstill%252finsidious_poster03.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bing.com%2Fimages%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dinsidious%2Bposters%2Band%2Bphotos%23focal%3D0fcad7f47d9e10bf806d1669273f1afc%26furl%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252fwww.aceshowbiz.com%252fimages%252fstill%252finsidious_poster03.jpg&p=insidious+posters&type=&no=3&tt=115&oid=http%3A%2F%2Fts4.mm.bing.net%2Fimages%2Fthumbnail.aspx%3Fq%3D1290086651707%26id%3D78fda1ea68714c88824155c9cb36f8bf&tit=Poster+of+FilmDistrict%26%2339%3Bs+Insidious+%282011%29&sigr=15mj812s1&sigi=15f1d8vm2&sigb=126el3te1&fr=ush-ans
But both covers centralize the main character (an evil-looking, young boy) and the words: "From the writer and director of SAW and the producers of Paranormal Activity" or "From the makers of Paranormal Activity and SAW". Immediately, the viewer knows that this is a horror film and should have elements of "edge-of-your-seat" suspense.
The cover is dark (over-all) with the one, large figure in the shadows and gray, storm clouds above the house -- all implying a sinister atmosphere. The cover with the house in the background is a good indication that the evil resides in the home. I especially like the word "Help" on the boy's right iris. That added touch really draws the viewer to wonder what is happening to this evil-looking child who apparently is asking for help. Also, the style, coloration, and sizing of the font used for the title is provocative. The one title is turned vertically and is two colors (separating the syllables) -- nice touch.

EDIT: I took a trip to our local video store and, as I suspected, the DVD jackets ARE DIFFERENT from the posters that I gave you a link to above.
The DVD cover of Letters to Juliet are of Amana Seyfried and her male co-star standing next to a basket of love letters, with a smaller, square photo (to the right) of Franco Nero and Vanessa Redgrave -- vastly different from the poster described above. :(
As for the second DVD cover, it's only basically the same as what I've described above. The DVD also has the following words on the front: "It's not the house that's haunted." And, "Most terrifying film since The Exorcist -- Steve O'Brien WCBS Radio"
