"DVD Flick" Program? Need to make a playable dvd?

I have 4 .avi files that I would like to put on a DVD. I can just drag them on to the blank DVD-R, and they will play on my computer. How can I make the disc playable on a dvd player? I downloaded dvd flick because the reviews said it would make any file type playable on my DVD player [or PS2].
I used the program for the first time today, took several hours, and when the process was complete, the disk was still empty.....? [or at least I couldn't detect any files on it?]

Any ideas? I have a Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 7 64bit.

Go in to the options. You need to tell it to create and burn a DVD otherwise it won't do it.
