My DVD writer has stopped working completely. It does not recognize ANY DVD put into it. When I put DVD into it, the LED blinks for few seconds before shutting down. It does not spin up/spin down the DVD. The brand is LG which I bought some months back. It is probably not a software problem as I can reproduce the same problem in both of my operating systems (dual boot system Ubuntu+XP). Any thoughts??
