Hi,
I am writing a research paper about fingerprints and this is my introduction. Is it good??? Last sentence is the thesis statement :)))))
thanks:
Fingerprints are something most people don't spend too much time thinking about on a daily basis. In fact, unless someone is trying to remove fingerprints from furniture or mirrors, it is unlikely that the average person thinks about them at all. Not many people know that out of the billions of people in the world, no two fingerprints are alike, not even the prints of identical twins. For this very reason, fingerprint identification is one of the best types of criminal identification, a method that can often conclusively tie a suspect to a crime. Fingerprints have been around for thousands of years, and advancements in forensic science have made fingerprints important to help solve crimes.

I like it, but I think that a lot of people actually know that no two finger prints are alike. Lol .

And when you say "Fingerprints have been around for thousands of years, ..." Fingerprints have been around forever, we just didn't know about them. You should say "fingerprinting" or "fingerprint identification"
