Firefox 3.6 and DIVX player.. Firefox crashes when you try to open a video?

java is updated
tried the new version of divx and a much earlier version

firefox has basic add ons that i have installed along with divx dozens of times before with no problems

any idea what could be going wrong here

Here was the fix:

Start -> regedit

open:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings

Double click ProxyEnable and change the 1 to a 0

restart and you should be back up and running again..
