First time Bike Buyer- Which one is best?

I've ridden as a passenger plenty of times with my girlfriend who has a 2008 Ninja 500R. She's been riding for about a year. I was thinking about taking the same class she did so I could take her bike out for a spin on those nice days.... what's a good first bike? Same?

It all depends on what you like... I just ordered a black 09 cbr 600rr, this is only cuz I had a guy trade me a 98 cbr 600 for a totaled 00 civic si. and now I am stuck on honda. Also my buddy I work with races bikes and he says honda is the way to go. To each there own and for me a honda. ha. But that's the case with anyone, what they have is the best but my buddy has been on everything and he likes the Honda's. Good luck with your choices and enjoy!!
