...a 2006 Jetta with 34k miles? The 16k includes tax, title, and license on the Versa hatchback. The 16k includes leather interior and a sunroof on the Voelkswagon Jetta. The Versa has a 36k mile 3 year warranty. The Jetta has 16k miles left on the original 50k warranty, then 24k more miles on the "certified" Voelkswagon used car purchase, for a total of 40k miles warranty on the Jetta.

VWs tend to start breaking at about 40k, parts are expensive, and sometimes have to come from Germany...

Nissans are a little plainer, but more bulletproof...

if you are planning on keeping this car for quite a few years i say the versa, maintenance is cheaper and will not require as much long term

now if you are only keeping it for 2 to 3 yrs. or less i would prefer to ride the VW jetta,it will feel much more stable on the road however on the highway gas mileage will be a bit less than the versa and the long term maintenance on VW's are pricey(its german so unless you are fortunate enough to know a german vehicle mechanic that is cheaper and twice as good as any dealer mechanic then be prepared to open your pocket book
