For sci-fi and fantasy readers...?

Answering the following questions would be very helpful. Thank you in advance :)

1. What do you like to read in a science fiction/fantasy novel? What is your idea of a good story?

2. Name a science fiction or fantasy novel that you are particularly fond of, or one that gives a good example of what you like to see in this genre.

3. What are your personal interests in these two genres? Do you like a story that focuses around action or romance? Etc.

4. What do you think makes good conflict?

5. Do you like a lot of description or do you like it short and simple, or something inbetween? Explain your opinion.

Something with a great plot, realistic, developed characters and excellent writing

2. Name a science fiction or fantasy novel that you are particularly fond of, or one that gives a good example of what you like to see in this genre.
Lord of the Rings.

Not a fan of romance, subplot at most. I just like a good story, really.

4. What do you think makes good conflict?
A convincing conflict

5. Do you like a lot of description or do you like it short and simple, or something in-between? Explain your opinion.
In-between. I don't like so much that it's unnecessary or turns to purple prose, but I don't like too little where you feel detached from the book.
