For Tmobile customers with the Motorola Cliq, my question is in regards to using

instant message.? I assume the phone comes with an app for instant message (Yahoo Messenger, etc.), right? Would using the instant message on the Motorola Cliq be using texts or would you need internet for it? I am considering getting the phone but do not want to have to get the data plan just yet and I use instant messaging programs a lot. However, I do have unlimited texting on my plan and I am hoping that is all I'll need to be able to instant message. Thanks in advance for the accurate answers.

I.M. or Instant Message would be Internet. So with out a data plan or a wifi connection it would not be able too send or receive IM's
A long time ago the g1 had a app that would do it but sometimes it took up to 5 minutes to send a message or to get a message so it quickly die out.
