Ford explorer 4.0 litre restrictor problem?

All cars on sale today are limited to a speed equal to or lower than the speed rating on the stock tires.
 
Ok ,
ive got a 4.0 litre ford explorer auto and it reaches 110mph at like 3000 rmp in 4th gear and it will not got past 110mph , is there some kind of restrictor somewhere ive took it to garages to see if they could find it but they cant
Only reason i want it off is to beat all the subaru impreza's ect in my big jeep hehe as it is very quick getting up to 110mph
 
Your truck is smarter than you are, the tires aren't designed to go any faster, and with that tall truck IT is easily turned over..

Yes Ford put in a speed limiter in the computer so people like you don't go out and kill themselves and then their families sue Ford for selling them a dangerous vehicle..
