my temperature gauge is not going to halfway only to the 2nd mark between 60 and halfway, resulting in my heating not working could this be a simple fault like a new thermostat needed or something else. easy 10pts
First check that you are full of coolant...being low on water could give you the same problem. Next, when the motor is cool, take off the radiator cap off and start the engine, look and see if the coolant starts to move in the radiator...if it does, the thermostat is stuck open, it should not flow till the engine gets hot.
