forget which is the gas and which is the break?

I never learned to drive cuz when i was 15 i totaled a car by hitting the gas instead of break? I was just learning. Does this ever happen to people? Is it something that you just gotta get used to? Im scared
 
There are two pedals - three max if you have a stick. It's not a difficult task to remember which one is which. If you cannot handle that, ride a bike, take a cab or bus, or walk. You'll be much safer and so will everyone else on the road.
 
my first time driving i made a turn and did not let go of the weel we hit a brick wall
just got to shak it off and get back in the saddle
