Our house was broken into and our amp for our sub was stolen.
i recently blew one of my JL audio 12W1v2 subs i had in my truck and im looking to bring the MTX Thunder TA7801 inside so we can use our sub again.

ive heard of using an AC adapter to power a DC amp but im not sure if the adapter i have is what i want for my TA7801

the adapter is from an old gamecube
AC adapter output: DC 12V 3.25A

MTX Thunder TA7801
INPUT SWITCH Input Sense 100mV-1V/1V-10V
(idk if this is the correct info so i posted a link to the amp specs)

ive read about this before but i feel that my amp and my adapter are unique and i shouldnt move forward based on other peoples results.

to be honest i get fairly confused when it comes to amperes volts and watts and how they are related. im just trying to get some life back in our home audio without frying my amp! or anything else for that matter.
