Gay/lesbian and bisexual people: what is the most difficult thing about "coming out"?

Just curious....

The possibility and actuality of being hurt, rejected, abandoned by those you care about/are close to.

The hatred aimed at us from some people, and being treated as a second class citizen.

not being accepted by my parents.
i don't care about any one else, as long as my parents accept me,that'ss all that matter

Acceptance, rejection, seeing another side of someone you didn't think exsisted, friendships ending, family complications.

having to answer the same lame ass questions for the rest of my life from people that only want to know, but have no genuine concern or care - basically nosey ass people

the most difficult thing is when people don't just come out and be themselves, they hold it in when all you have to do is come out...bang your out your happy and whoever doesn't like it can kick rocks, ya dig

I haven't come out yet mainly because I'm terrified of my friends rejecting me. I don't want to be alone in school again. And I'll have to answer so many difficult questions ands explain my behaviour to people.

being ridiculed by my parents. they don't know, but i'm sure they have an idea.
