what is the wisdom behind GM killing off brands like pontiac who have vehicles completely seperate from chevys but keeping GMC which is just a chevy with a different grill? are there really GMC owners so loyal that they won't drive a chevy?
GM killed the money losing brands. Pontiac wasn't profitable GMC was.
Just like GMC every Pontiac was a rebadge of another GM product.
Pontiac G3 - Chevy Aveo
Pontiac G5 - Chevy Cobalt
Pontiac G6 - Chevy Malibu & Saturn Aura
Pontiac Torrent - Chevy Equinox, Saturn Vue, & Suzuki XL7
Pontiac Montana - Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave
Pontiac G8 - If Pontiac was still around this was also going to be a Chevy Impala and a Buick in the next year or 2. Its also the new Chevy Caprice police interceptor. Its also the same platform as the Chevy Camaro.
