Getting a Black Berrie Pearl from Verizon Wireless with no data plan?

Ok so I broke my phone and my mom has her old Pearl she says I can use. I was wondering if I could get it on my regular plan with just regular phone features. Like no internet or email or anything like that. I want it nice and simple hahaha so I was wondering if I could get it without a data plan. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Should be able to, though you wont be able to blackberry message or browse the web. I would never buy a blackberry without a data plan I think its pointless but since yours is free, go for it.
